I don't knwo if this question has been asked or not but is it possible to change the transmission on an Auto Lancer to a Manual Lancer 5-Speed...I knom it would be an expesive venture but let's set aside the sot and concentrate on whether or not the transmissions are interchangeable...thanks for the info

Of course it's possible. It's called yank out the entire automatic transmission, grab the manual one, and put the engine and tranny back together. Of course the real question is: Why? Be happy with your 6 PSI of boost and enjoy not shifting.

ahem, the easiest way is to take you car down to the dealership, find a friendly car salesperson. Calmly ask him/her to get you a MT OZ and trade-in your AT...that's done, easy like that

Seriously though, why would you spend all that money when you've a car in production you can get instead???

Sum it up... possible, yes, feasible, no. Plus, you'd have to change up the interior... what a mess.

I asked around and they probably $5000 labor plus parts, but it would no longer be a legal vehicle, and the insurance company would no longer cover the vehicle, they would not do the emission test on your vehicle, plus its a whole lotta work...

best to follow Lan_Evo's advice and get a exchange

It was just a question..thanx for the info...I like my auto i was just wondering if it was possible...

rqmxp- here in south florida we don't have to go for emissions test so,if it were feasible, that wouldn't be a problem....in fact on tuesday i'm getting my car's last catalytic taken out and putting in a custom straight pipe.
