Cluth Master Cylinder and Slave Cylinder bad??!
going thru almost the same problems, but i had to replace the input shaft bearing $28.00 dollar part est. time 9 hours so imagine how much it would cost at your local dealership or local mechanic, me and my brother did the half rebuild and replaced also the slave cylinder ($157.00), have an issue with no fluid coming out the slave cylinder trying to bleed it, but tomorrow i will try overflowing the resovoir hopefully will work and i will sell my lancer soon.
i got mine used from a salvage yard for $500. not that i wanted to but i grenaded a few syncros in my 03 and didnt have the time nor the money to have it "fixed" so i just got another one and been running that since.
alright everybody i have a question that i cant figure out ive look every where i could on the net to find out wuts wrong with my car but everything points to the slave/ master and i know its not.
-story-
bought a 2003 lancer oz rally
engine blew
replace engine
starts and idles fine
no clutch though
i took the supply line from the the trani off the one next to the bleed nipple and i cant get any fluid threw it its not pinched or kinked and the reservoir is over the max line
wuts going on?

Had the same problem..mine was the slave was just a bad part and it came from mitsu..order one from ebay and got an evo 8 master cylinder. Replaced both at same time. No problems and saved money.
I just bought a new slave cylinder since I accidentally stripped the housing. The problem I'm facing is I can't figure out how to get the damn thing out! You can't really see in there, almost clueless on where the bolts are, and the service manual doesn't quite show it.
Got a question not sure if this is the samething thats happening with my car but Im just trying to get my car ready for a tune I just put a turbo in my car and put the evo ROM on switched out my maf for a 399 it wasn't running to great kinda letting me rev high way to easya nd not boosting so I switched my maf to to 501 and now my car is suck in neutral I shift in to first let the clutch out and the car won't die it won't even move switched the maf back and it still won't move think its the clutch or the tranny?
Ohh shti. Ahhhh :/ It's the centric clutch slave cylinder. I thought it was just the regular slave cylinder....crap. That looks nothing like what I found and bought from NAPA.

That's what I bought. I take it this is the completely wrong thing then.
So if I use the throw out bearing, the slave cylinder (not centric) and a release fork from a 2004 model (not 2003), then it will be external?? Where do I get a "release fork?"

Professor Farnsworth voice: Good news everyone! My car has been picked up to have the slave cylinder replaced since it is beyond my skill to repair.
I will be up and running by tomorrow evening. This is day 15 without my car and going a little bit crazy.
I think a bit later down the line when I get the clutch replaced, I'll replace the master slave cylinder. I do have a question though that I think has been answered, but I'm still unsure of. Is there a way to make the friction point lower towards the floor instead of so high up?? Is this an easy or possible modification to do?
