Automatic Tranny Help

I noticed tonight that whenever im at 40mph(In the area maybe 39 or 41) that when I let off the gas the rpms go down then kind of kick up to a little under 2k rpms? The car kind of jerks you. Below 40 works fine. Anyone know what this is? Maybe reset ecu? Or is my tranny going out? Anyone else have this problem? Should I be worried or what? Thanks again guys!

Maybe its right around a shift point? I know mine will sometimes rev like the gear ships, then kicks into gear, but it hasn't done that in a long time, and it was usually at low speed when it did it. I think others have had simular experiences as well.

Yeah, sounds like it's just shifting.

I guess I'm just starting to notice the sluggishness of our Automatic Transmissions. It feels like it's trying to decide whether to downshift which it seems to do because the rpms kick up instead of dropping, or to just leave it in gear. I might reset ecu because we have adaptive transmissions, might make the shifts smoother.

I wonder if anyone will come out with a black box or piggy back for out transmissions? I have also heard that the after market torque converter helps alot. I need to look into that more. I think it may be the next thing I do.

Yah those torque converters do help a lot in the 1/4 mile times! Well, I drove the car today after a 2 day rest. The transmission is back to normal, guess we all better remember rule #1 is not to run the transmission real hard for a real long time! False ALARM! WOOT WOOT!
