Question Tranny question

Before you are going to say anything and curse me or anything else

..I did run A SEARCH..

Is there anything I have to know when changing the tranny fluid?
I got the fluid (it is the right one, don't yell).
Can I do it by myself?

Is it just unscrew the drain plug wait .....
......
......
put the plug back in the right place
......
take out the fill plug
......
put 2 1/2 quarts in there
(should I put as much as it can take before it overfills?)
......
put the fill plug back
......
......
wuala

Automatic or manual would be some good information, but either can be done. Manual is much easier and cheaper.

In your search, you should have found the How-To for it. In that how-to are lots of tips about problems people have run into and suggestions for making it easier.

Really, this thread should be closed.

That's it. Make sure your car is on a level surface when you're filling it, or you'll over- or under-fill it.

I picked up one of those filler tubes you attach to the end of the bottle. It has a shut-off valve in it, and a cap for the other end. Works great.

I changed my manual and it over-flowed a little, didn't do nothing to it, and now it shifts better cuz I used the red line brand. I just wouldn't underfill it.
