You could try JB weld...where is the crack at? Any pics? Is it still under warranty?

i'd take it in and have it looked at. worst comes to worst, you spend the wheel funds on the tranny better to have a car that drives on stockers than a pretty set of rims on a car with a blown tranny. if it's under warranty, don' ttouchit just get it to the dealer and make them fix it.

You cant JB Weld something like that it will always seep fluid. The aluminum is cast so a weld may not work well either, I would have to be on both sides, and if you were going to do that you might as well get a new case for the tranny since it would be out anyway.

Is the crack on the top or the bottom of it?

Are you out of warranty? You should be under warranty still, I'd think and this is definitely the responsibility of warranty. Don't screw things up more such that a dealer won't warranty it because of anything you've done trying to fix it.
