Question A problem

I also have another problem that i have been having for some time now and really have no clue the hell it is. It's like this, i could be driving my car down the road and i eased off the acc. now that im a little older, but as i rev at a somewhat high RPM like 3000 to 3500 to 4000, my car likes to kick or jolt. I dont know waht it is and it happends all the time when im driving, the car idels fine when sitting there. Well except in the morning when its cold its about 1500rpm's till the engine heats up some and then it goes down to the reg. place. This kicking thing is really pissing me off, I would say it has been happening for about a year now, maybe a little bit more.

^^^yep, id be willing to bet $5000 its just a fouled plug. just go to an auto store and pick up the stock NGK's (BKR5E-11) should cost around $8 for all 4 and take all of 15 minutes to install.

Hydro locking? Do you have a cold air intake? From what I know the most common, and about the only way, to hydrolock your engine is to run you cold air intake into a deep puddle and suck up water.

It could be bad fuel, only fill up with ultra 94 or a close to it octane, also use some injector cleaner. Check your filter for dirt.

I have the same problem, it start happening now when it's colder (before no problem). I thought it's my worn out clutch but I guess not. I replaced spark plugs but I could use some wires. With hydrolocking it's not true. It has not been raining for a week and I still have the problem.

It could also be dirty oil. Also, don't for get that the CAI changes your power band and at around those RPM's the car pulls different then the rest of the power band. That is where the changing point is.

Image for clarifaction.

As you can see the power jumps then drops and jumps again between 3000-4500RPM

Hope this helps
