put your stock head unit back in... If that solves your problem, and if you're a bit more savvy in electronics, doublecheck your wiring harness for the headunit... If not, have a friend or someone else look and doublecheck your work... If no errors are found there, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe a faulty headunit?

you see the thing is that i looked at the harness already and everything seems to be in place... i diconnected the headunit.... and checked to see if that was it and the problem is still there... if i take the fuses out one by one... not the computer ones.. but tha light ones.. do u think ill find the problem... also what is a CAPACIFIER???

Your friend probably meant a capacitor, if you're in electronics you'll know what that is... if your problem isn't in the fuses a capacitor would solve your problem... or a ground kit for that matter.

Well, a capacitor is useless in this sitauation because it's just a headunit. It'd have to be something power hungry to cause the lights to dim like that. Fuses and grounds would be next best thing aside from going back to the stock headunit. In reference to your tailight, check your bulbs, check your wiring, check your fuses, again, if all else fails, take it to the dealer.

oh jus check that you havent cut any wire behind the harness...check the fuses up by the eninge...they are a pain to take out...but check them...my dash lights stopped working for no reason and i figured out that it was a fuse by the engine...or jus like DaGul said...put ur old unit back in and c if that fixes the problem...i think that would b the easiest thing to do...jus disconnect the harness...and connect...if that doesnt work...its most likely a fuse...or a wire thats cut during ur installation.

How was it installed? Did you use a wiring harness. Cause if you happened to splice into an Interior light or dash light it is directly connected to your rear left light and your sidemarker. Check your wiring. Did you splice into the cigerette lighter, clock light, or another dash wire for a Remote wire for your amp? cause that will do it.

ok ok...travelsize420...i kno how to fix ur problem exactly...i had same problem...xcept mine was i was trying to install my new head unit while drivin...lol...yea kinda stupid...first get a 10A fuse handy...aite go into ur engine compartment fuse box...you'll see a yellow bracket holding 2 fuses...u can take it out...be reallie carefull...one of those fuses is burned...now realliey carefully take one of the fuses out...and c if thats the one...if not its the other one...that fuse controlls all the power into ur center counsle dashbord...so basically jus replace and ur good to go...
