headlight wiring

I know some people on here have done this, so someone should be able to answer this question... How can I wire/splice the front turn signals into the front parking/running lights and vice versa? I have the wiring diagram, but I'm not sure yet whether I'lll be able to figure this out simply through studying that thing cause it's a lot more complicated looking than I think it ought to be

you would need to split the wires going into the turn signal...then just connect...make sure positive stays positive and gound stays ground

the wiring harnesses for the parking lights is different than that of the turn signals... this leads me to believe that just splitting the wires at the lights and swapping them might not work out. Perhaps this is incorrect and that will work, but I dont want to try it until I have someone who has done it say so

I did it, Its pretty easy. But there is a trick or you get a little supprise

First you need to establish which wire is positive and which is negative. A test light or multi meter will do this.

^ asuming that you knewe that much we will move on.

When I did mine I had removed my side markers and changed my cornor lights to signals.

What I did was extended the power wire from the side marker and used it for the power for my side markers.

The little Trick is you have to to cut your origional wires and tape them closed (so they dont ground out on anything) If you dont do this all the lights (inside and out) (not headlights) will flash with your signals. I have no idea why the car is wired like that but it is. Hope this helps.

not sure I entirely understand but that's definitely reassuring. So if I understand correctly, I can just pull the + and - wires out of the wiring harnesses for the turn signals and corner running lights, and then swap them (plug straight into the other harness)?

well in case anyone is wondering, it works to just cut the wires and wire them into the other bulb at the harness

I'd check the local and state laws concerning how close to the front of the vehicle the turnsignal has to be. The sidemarkers may be to far back to be legal, you could always wire the sidemarkers along with the regular signals.

ok ok...its jus gotta b visible from the front...which it will be...so basically i can swap the two wires around...if u see camaros and old hondas...they have their siganls pretty far from the headlight...and they are more toward side than front...
