evo 8 tweeter wiring assistance!

Hello

I am in the process of adding factory evo 8 tweeters to my car and I have a question in regards to the tweeters. Does anyone know where the stock harness for the tweeters plug into? I have the wiring harness from the tweeters and I am just not able to located where other end of the harness plugs into the car's wiring.

Does anyone know where the sockets plug into??

Thanks in advance guys!

did the car come with the tweeter your putting in factory or no? if not you might not find a factory plug for it. mitsu's are very weird when it comes to audio in their cars. you can have one year and three different setup's. if it doesn't and you can not physically find a plug buy tweeter crossover's and tap off of your speaker in the door harness.

or you could get real cheap with it and put in bassblocker in line. and it should just allow the high's to only get thru. be careful with that tho sometimes they do not work and your tweeter will work for all of about two days at most.

no my car did not come w/ any factory tweeters but I figured there maybe a chance that the wiring was still in there in place. I know the tweeter mounting holes are there so I thought I would ask where the stock tweeter connections are located so I can check if they are there or not.

The tweeter goes right behind the A pillar into its screw mounts, when you say door panel can you be a little more specific?

A picture would GREATLY help me out if possible. sorry to be such a pain ! I've searched everywhere but there is no info!

Thanks again for the assist!

ah so it should already be there poking up? I thought it was located further away b/c looking at the wire its actually lengthy.

thanks for the help.

last question, are the 2 wires running from the A pillars into the roof of the car the rear speaker wires? they are located on both a pillars, so i thought i'd ask before cutting into them.

kudos!

i wouldnt cut into those..... speaker wires generally run down the kick panel, thru the sill.... they are twisted usually. watch out before cutting away.. as they can also be air bag wires, and will either throw a light or blow one in your face!

dang, ok so whats the best place for me to find the wires to splice to run up to the tweeters?

would running a new wire from the door panel be a better idea?

since there is no airbag in the door and no possible way for you to hit one. take the panel off figure out the colors, look at the harness going into the kick panel from the door boot, the wires should be twisted, cut them and put a 9v battery inline and the speaker should pop or grab a meter and mesure the resistance thats your safest bet, should either be 2 ohm or 4ohm
