Unhappy depressed...burned clutch

last week i burned my clutch up pretty good in the snow, and today im racin with this dude in a lexus, and during the race, my clutch got ****ed, i can barely change gears now, and what makes it worse is that i have a shortshifter, sway bar, CAI, springs, and a test pipe sitting in my room. Im gonna take it to the dealer on monday. Do you think they will fix it under warrenty? I have a catback exhaust on and an intake. Should i put the stock intake back on?

They shouldn't void the warranty for the exhaust and intake, I can't think of any reason why exhaust and intake would cause the clutch to burn. If they did, bring on the lawyer!

Actually, your clutch isn't covered in your warranty, period. It's a part designed to wear out, and as such, you're responsible for replacing it. It's like brake pads, or spark plugs, or light bulbs.

Exactly. Just like springs or shocks, belts and the like. All not under warrenty

So now's an opportune time to buy an ACT clutch and have it professionally installed. Problem solved, a equal or cheaper costs than OEM.

I asked my dealer about the intake/exhaust warranty issue and they said that if you cant get the car smogged then your warranty is void, therefor the catback would be fine but the intake voids the warranty because you cant smog the car.

btw the clutch is under wear and tear.

i wonder if that would be the same for here in indy since there are no emission checks. and my ill tell mitsu that my clutch shouldnt wear out that fast and something had to be messed up. ill be sad if they dont give me a new one. Would i notice any improvements with a performance clutch? hmmm this sucks

Get the RRM clutch and the pressure plate while your at it. A racing clutch will engage a lot sooner then the OEM clutch. That sucks for you bro. I know that my warrenty is only the drive train... Clutch is not included.
