No power when my keys are out...

Well i think I blew a fuse somewhere. Haven't had time to check them all because of work and its been cold as hell. Any of you peeps know which fuse it would be. I only have power when my car is started or on ACC. So, when my car is off, I cant use my dome light, remote locks, nothing. I'm hoping this is just a fuse...it started when I installed my 7"in dash lcd and I had a switch exposed and it hit the ground in my dash. Any help is appreciated guys n gals.

EDIT: 2003 ES Lancer btw

there is a fuse panel by where ur left knee sits in the drivers seat, and another under the hood. Look for one that says acc. You prolly dont have power in acc, you have power when the ignition is "on" but the engin hasn't been cranked to turn over yet. It's weird that you can't use your dome light though. Can u use it when the engine is on? Does your stereo work?

U just gotta spend some time pulling fuses with some needle nose pliars.

Yeah I figured I would end up just having to search through them, but I thought I'd try to save time and see what everyone thought. Everything works fine when the car is running or when the ignition is "to the first click." Yes I can use the dome light when the engine in on, everything works, just no power to anywhere in the car when my keys are out. My clock and trip also reset after my car has been off for a while.

yea, its not a fuse, because if a fuse was blown it would be easy to tell. Like your domelights, they either work or they dont work. If everything is reseting I would check your battery connections and have the battery tested. Can you turn your radio on when the car is not on...

I recently had troubles with my 50 amp fuse for my project Civ running power from the battery to ign. Sounds sort of the same; but check that one for the Lancer maybe.

in your maunal they tell what fuses r what and that might cut some time out but you may have too much power for the fuse that goes there and you might be removing your lcd
good luck

I just had the same problem. Look under your hood were the fuse box is and you will see like a little yellow looking box. Pull it up and it will click. Get a pair of needle nose pliars and pull both fuses out. I can bet you that one is blown replace both of them which is what I did or just the one that is blown and you will be back in business.

My symptons were no power when car was off such as no door locks working, head lights would not come on, hazard lights would not work no dome light. My trip would reset everytime the car was turned off then back on and so would my clock.

Good luck.
