My girlfriend does not have a Lancer, but she does have an auto tranny. I hooked up my Auterra to her car and noticed the TPS goes from 16.5% up to 98.4%. Now on my car and another friends car (with manual tranny) the TPS goes from 0% to 100%.

Is the TPS on the auto tranny supposed to give that signal, or should it be 0-100 like the ones I am seeing on mine and my friends car?

 

i would think that's kinda strange. if you can, get a voltmeter and check it's voltage through the range. the basic range is 0-5v, but may actually be like .30-4.95v. some tps' go 5-0v in reverse, though i don't know any in particular that do that.

 

I'll check it this weekend. Don't really have the time until then.
