Help Please!!!!
Can anyone help me with this problem...Here's what happened:
I first started cleaning the engine with a little soap and water, then I wiped the engine down, clean and dry. Next, I started to remove my CD deck and the climate control panel to color match my interior lights (all red). After that, I took the center console off and changed the ciggarette and ashtray lights to red. I changed the blue gel cap covers to red and replaced everything back to its original place. When I started the car and put my CD deck back, I noticed that the clock, my dome light, my CD deck, my power locks didn't work anymore...Does anyone know what has happened to my car?????...The good thing is that the lights I replaced is working. Please help me...Thanks.

I can think of two things. Check the fuses behind the dimmer switch underneath the dash there and see if any are blown. Also, check the fuses in your engine bay. You may have inadvertantly blown a fuse with water getting somewhere it shouldn't be. So, check all the fuses and then get back to us.
Sorry this is off topic, but how exactly can i clean/wash my engine. Can I just go to one of those self car washes and just spray engine, I'm not sure but I think that wouldn't be good, someone please let me know.
I wash my engine every two weeks. I usually spray it down with simple green, then I spray it off with water after a couple of minutes. Just don't spray the alternator if you can help it - and you can try to avoid the battery and fuse box some. Otherwise, you can spray it down no problem.

If you're just driving to the wash and haven't driven it much else, then you should be fine, be careful spraying the exhaust manifold/header first though, since its still really hot. Otherwise, it wouldn't hurt to wash the rest of the car first, letting the engine cool down, then clean the engine.
