Looking at the pics in rain, whatever water there's flying around will drop down straight into the bay as will snow. This wouldn't be to much of a problem however if not for things like delicate electical connections and other tidbits laying around. Hehehe, I wonder if the exhaust manifold would steam when water hit it. Having a hood scoop or a true Evo style vent is nice since there's no real direct way for water to get in but this hood just has two holes in it with a rather porous mesh. You could always get a finer material to put there or some plating attached to the underside of the hood with some slats put in.
thiers are generally slotted and have kind of like a fun off and not just a big hole in the hood with chicken wire gotta figure a way to make the hole not so big tighter mesh would be the easiest but slats across would be the most effective
Because body kits must be cheap so the kids don't ***** about prices. Having to install those plates and mesh = more $. Evo vents: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ght=cold+block

I had 2 on my integra

and had no problem.. one was just over the CAI and it didn't cause problems neither.
and yes, when it rains, there is condensation (fog) coming out of the traps, it's pretty nice IMO
