Question rear defroster

anyone else notice that the rear defroster only stays on for about half a hour or so??i go to work every morning at 5:00 and where i use it almose every morning and amtired of pressing the button all the time durring my drive.is this just me or is it something on all lancers??

it turns off as not to burn out. a lot of newer cars do that

Yeah, they're essentially electric heat coils like in your toaster. Even my '88 Grand Am and sister's early 90's MX-6 have timed defrosters.

I thought most cars did.......My fast ***, AWD, rubber burnin, wheely poppin GMC Safari work van even does that. Man so many features, so little time!!!!!
