Accidentally left a power inverter running all night in my car and now when I start it up the Service Engine Light greets me. Could draining the battery like that cause it?

I'm going to reset and see if it comes back, just curious.

 

i would imagine the low battery light would be set off and not the CEL...take the car for a ride and let the alternator cycle some more power around. afterwards try to reset the ECU and see what happens.
