Whenever I go to Autozone they tell me their company does not carry NGK plugs.

 

That is correct that is why I asked where to get them at.

 

One other thought I had is to check and make sure that your tires are pumped up right. It would affect the mpg too, but you probably already did this.

 

then autozone sucks. I didn't know that because the nearest one is 300 miles away from my house (really. It's in Vancouver WA and I'm north of Seattle)

They're not that hard to find- surely there's another parts store within driving distance? Call ahead or order from partsamerica.com (checker/schucks/kragen parts stores online).

 

I will try NAPA. I have one right by my house.
