yep, dry weather, combined with the composition of the seat fabric and the fabric in your clothes = static. Hold onto the door frame as you get out, works for me

Part of it is the amount of actual rubber they put in your tires. Honda had a recall (Tech Bulletin) because there customers were getting shocked all the time. If you just changed tires it may have something to do with it especially if they are long tread length (high wear rating) tires. Other than that, ground out on your car as you get out as twardOZRally.

Just hit the door with your shoulder to take the shock.

I found it zapped alot less that way.

i always freakin get zapped too! i let my jacket sleeve fall down over my hand and then use that as a buffre when i grab the door frame-kind of like a hotmit. the other thiong is....are you grabing the outside door handle to shut the door? It is plastic and may not shock you. I get shocked when i grab the door framer to shut the door!

im gonna try a few things, ive got a grounding kit coming for the engine bay, im also going to try a grounding strap to the ground (although i hate **** dragging on the ground from my ride) and im going to see if theres a better way to ground the seats out so your butt doesnt build as much static!!
