Question Breaking at High Speeds

I know this is going to sound stupid but I have a 02 Oz Lancer and lets say im hittin like 80-90 Mph and im in say 5th Gear and am looking to break, and I drop it into 4th gear and let off the clutch to slow down and start to press the breaks, well when I do: do that the car kinda shakes and I have a vibration in the stearing wheel. Do I need to get some new Better breaks (cause I drive this fast always)?anyone?

This car is brand new tho...only about 14000 miles on it should I really need to get rotars rotated already?

its a possiblity, really depends on how hard you are on your brakes.

Take your wheel off and check your rotors for damage or anyhting that seems out fo the ordinary to you.

It could be something else, but the rotors would be the most logical thing to me

I'd guess the rotors too, but I doubt you'd see it if they were slightly warped and it wouldn't take much to introduce vibrating.

But it probably isn't the rotors at all if this only happens when you are compression braking. If it only happens when you use the brake pedal, check the rotors. Otherwise, it could be indicative of something else altogether.

Yeah its only when I pressing the breaks while slowing down from high speeds 80,90,100 etc..I mean if im only going like 60 and slowing down its not ****...doesnt vibrate only when going fast.

Alright, if compression braking has nothing to do with it, then check your rotors. I suppose wheel balance issues may be at fault too, but you'd feel them accelerating through the same speeds.
