Cool Possible Control Arm Recall

I have had trouble with a consistant metal-on-metal squeeking noise coming from my rear suspension/brake area. I brought it to the dealer 3 times so far and they determined that it was not the sway bars, not the weather (cold as **** in Mass), not a damaged product (like from a pothole), and not my brakes (front or rear)! They just ordered a brand new pair of rear control arms for my suspension. They said that there have been a few others in my area with the samw problem. They assured me that it would not affect the performance of the vehicle.

I was wondering if you guys could tell me if this is happening to any of you so that I can print this thread and bring it to them in about two weeks. A corporate representative is going to be there so I can give him a copy as well.

Thanks

lance,

not sure if its the same as what youre experiencin, but everytime i change from forward to reverse and vice versa. I hear a loud metallic clank somewhere in the rear area of the car. im pretty sure its got nothing to do with the tranny as some of my friend have suggested. but i will be taking it the . btw the car had was making this sound since it was new, but now its gotten somwhat louder. havnt felt any change in handling though.

Probably not at all what he described with the control arms, but you should definitely have that looked at by the dealer. No reason not to and you don't want it to get worse.
