Odd Problem

Odd Problem

Driving home from class last night and through a service engine soon light.Went to autozone had the code pulled and PO172 system to rich(bank1) i do have the piggy back vr1 so what do you guys think

pull out your plugs and post pics. they will tell you a lot more than the CEL...otherwise try reflashing the ECU and letting the PB relearn itself. maybe it just got a little surge happy. do you have any mechanical noises, lag, etc after the CEL.

nope already reset the piggy and the funny thing is when the cel comes on nothing happens still the same

start simple. check your plugs, make sure injectors are seated properly and all the sensors are in, PCV valve, etc. but start at your plugs and work from there.....lastly, you'd have to ask Hobie but it MIGHT be a possibility that a sensor/clip on one of your injectors could have gone bad so the ECU is just dumping crazy amounts of fuel. i heard of that in a civic once.

ok checked the plugs 3 of the 4 are black as night so might be the problem i will find out this weekend

either clean em, regap, reinstall. or just get new ones.
