Angry Friggin busted gasket!!!!!

Ok, so after a few hours of installation, I decide to take my car out for a spin to get a feel for my new header and downpipe. Not 2 minutes into my joy ride, I hear something fall and hit the pavement. Sure enough, now my car is sounding like a ****ing riding lawnmower cuz of a blown gasket.

I got under the car with a flashlight, and sure enough there's the remains of the gasket hanging from where the header and downpipe meet. I'm gonna swing by and pick up a replacement, and my question is what size gasket should I get. I'm assuming a 3" since that's the size of the downpipe, but I might as well ask and be certain.

I'll write up a review on the header setup just as soon as I fix this minor problem. Thanks ahead of time for all your help.

This one is just as bad for me, cuz it has effectively immobilized my car till I get it fixed. If it's one thing I don't want, it's to sound like total *** when driving down the street. I could never forgive myself for doing that. Oh, and just so it got rubbed in, there was a Viper that pulled up next to me tonight. So here I am sounding like a 2 stroke motor, and there's this pretty car next to me. Why?

I've tried Napa, Carquest, and Baxter with no luck whatsoever. Anyone else with suggestions on where I can get a gasket to replace my broken one?

I was thinking that too, but that wouldn't be the right interior diameter, since stock is a lot smaller than 3".

that really sucks. by the time of your post, you were up late doing that too :P

I'd get a generic gasket that will cover the hole you are gasketing .. and then cut the diameter of the hole to be exact to what your piping is ..
