amby, you need a new fan switch relay. $60 from the dealer 2 minutes to install.

Isn't that what the recall covered? If this one's not working right it should be under warranty.

It is the same thing that the recall covered.. but i had problems with mine again and that is what caused my bad idle in city driving my fan wasnt turning on.
They should cover it under warranty.

I am thinking the idle speeds up to pump the water faster to cool it down because the fan is not kicking in when it should.

I checked on the fan thing, and that's definitely it. Even with it being 26 degrees out the fan isn't coming on. Hopefully I'll get this dealt with this week.

Ok I got the car booked in for tomorrow. It was pretty funny, when I called the dealership and said I needed my car looking at, the first response was "well right now we're looking at Tuesday or later". Once I told him my problem however, I was booked in immediately.

they probably know that it only takes a couple of minutes to fix and that they are idiots for not correcting the damn problem with the fan switch yet.

I dont know what the recall accomplished; replaced one faulty switch with another faulty switch.

I took the car in today, and 99$ later, it's still not fixed. They don't think its the fan controller since the fan appears to be coming on intermittently like it should be. Currently they're leaning towards a vacuum leak.

Could it be the throttle body? I just read some posts from people with similar problems and they also had a bored throttle body installed. I think this issue started around the same time I got the TB installed, which just so happened to be around the same time I got the recall done.

Can you measure vacuum? Mine runs at 20-22 depending on the weather 19-20 on rainy days. If its leaking I would guess you would show signifcantly less.

You apparently are having cel issues what are the codes that are present?

The CEL associated with the header. I just got back from the dealership and it looks like they fixed it. Apparently the throttle line was getting stuck.
