Weird idle
For whatever reason my car has had some weird idle issues lately. When I start up the car it does the usual thing of staying at about 2000 rpm and dropping to around 700 rpm after a few minutes. If I drive the car for like 30 min though, the idle starts to creep up. A few days ago it creeped all the way up to 2000 rpm, and I have no idea why it's doing it. All I could think of is the temperature has been fluctuating quite a bit lately with it being anywhere from -5 to 15 degrees outside. Could be a fan problem? Anybody have some insight?
no insight, but my car does the exact same thing.
sometimes it even will go back and forth from 1k to 1.5k really friggin annoying when it does that. I really notice it when i do a lot of city driving.
Could it be the isc sensor going bad?

Not sure, I'm starting to suspect based on some other posts I skimmed through that it might be related to the headers. Once I get my CEL eliminator installed I'll see if it still does it.
Well, mine kind of does the same thing but more like every day. When I leave the car for a couple of hours and it gets a "cold" start. It idles at first 2000 then drops to 1500 then tends to rest around 1000. I believe I read it was part of the "warm up" process. I never thought anything was wrong with it. Only a couple of times I had it go from 2K to 1500 for about 3 seconds then back up to 2K for about 10 seconds then drops to 1500 for no longer then 5 seconds then "rest" at 1000.

K this idle problem is getting nuts. I left the car idling for around 15 min while I ran inside to get some things and when I returned it was idling at close to 4000 rpm. I turned it off and left it for a few minutes and when I started it up it was still idling at 4000 rpm. I decided to just get it onto the highway so it could cool off, and sure enough when I actually got on the road it went back to idling normally. Could this be a problem with my fan? I got that recall but maybe they screwed it up or something.
I think it's normal because every once in a while Ill be driving along and Ill come to a stop and the rpm will sit right around 1500-2000 after I come to a stop and then slowly drop back down to normal. I guess it's the engine design, I don't know though.

Bump cause the car is still doing this. Currently all I can think is maybe its a heat issue. It only does it after stop and go traffic. Could the fan not be working right? I had the recall done but I think maybe my fan isn't coming on and cooling the engine off. Would the idle creep up in an attempt to cool the engine off?
