Odd problem

For some reason when i push my brake the left turn signal indicator comes on. The light is not a bright as if i were to signal turning left and is more noticable at night (obviously). To add to that when i put the brake on and shift into reverse i have the same issue, however this time the light is brighter but yet not as bright as if i were to turn the left signal on. I thought a bulb maybe bad and haven't checked, but the dash indicator hasn't sped up any to indicated i have a turn signal light going out. Any clues as to what would cause this ??? I haven't added or removed anything recently that would warrant this. I have an 02 OZ rally edition 5 spd

thanks ahead...

It's definitaly some kind of electrical problem. Start going through some wires.

Ha ha you think!

It sounds like something is back feeding, the lancers are weird, if there is a short in one of your lights half the car will flash when the signals are on. I had this problem once.

Check the cornor lights, front turn signals, rear turn signals, break lights and dome/interior.dashboard lights. Start by pulling fuses one by one and see what happens. Each time you pull one do the nessessary thing to make that light turn on.

Turn out to be a bad ground to the taillight. This pin on the connector pushed out and it wasn't making a good connection so just hardwired the taillight to ground. problem fixed

I had this problem too. It happens like he said with the plugs on the end of the harnesses that attach to the lights; they either corode or get bent some how...does anyone know if you can get those wire harness ends from the dealer (the stuff that clicks into place) ? or do u have to replace the whole damn harness.
