Wheel Bearings Keep dieing

I have an OZ 02' and My wheel bearings keep failing... ie they make that dreaded winding noise/vibration. This is the third time changing both sides in the last 3 years. WHAT exactly causes wheel bearings to fail? Could it be bad drive shafts? Bad suspension? Does anyone else have reoccuring wheel bearing failure?

you have aftermarket wheels? different offset? did you lube the new bearings properly while installing them?
