Unhappy exhaust not as loud as i hoped?

Alright, i got a custom cat back the other day. With a Magnaflow miffler. I dont know why, but it dosent sound as loud as i had hoped. Or maybe its because icant hear it as well from inside the car cause of the short ram intake?

Is there any way i can help make it a little louder. I will work on a getting a video or sound clip of it this week, I would of this weekend but to rainy out!

thanks

when you wash your car, spray some water into the exhaust..not like directly into it, but like youre washing it out when your standing up..so it like goes it, comes out.. just hitting the bottom of the inside part.. give it a few weeks it'll get louder

Buy a header if you want it high pitched.

You are joking right? I hope you are! This past Saturday,my little girl was helping me wash the car. You can guess what happened.

I don't know how much water went in, definitely more than normal when washing the car.

The car felt fine, and no different noises after the wash was done.

Please let me know.

Thanks,

im not saying tremendous amount of water..but the water going inside will do something for it..you know how a muffler is built, it's go a fiber-type of cloth/material that surrounds the canister part...well the water helps it to set it and makes it louder for some reason..maybe i'm wrong--but that's what happened with my exhaust..

and yeah..just give it a week or 2 to break in.. go freeway driving or something..but then again i could be wrong..this is just form my experience..

Ha....I would rather have my exhaust as quiet as possible while being as effective as possible. If you want high pitch maybe a honda would be better? j/k
