hopefully this is somewhat on topic, I dont really have the same problem but close to it. When I got my exhaust done I had it lined up perfectly so it doesnt touch, however, the heat from the muffler has still burnt the paint around the indention for the exhaust. this has a point I swear. Has anybody seen the carbon fiber exhaust heat shields for the Evo? I was wondering if anyone has seen something of the sort for the us lancer...that would totally make my day...

 

they arnt made.. There are some aluminum ones out there in which you just bend to form to your bumper. mabey ebay? There was a poll forever ago trying to get RRM to make them but it never happened.

 

Dammit Son! I thought about trying to make my own out of aluminium but I figured it would be a pain in the *** and probably look like crap whenever I got done with it, maybe we should hit up rock again and see if CarbonTrix can make some...Id be willing to get one...maybe if he got enough Pre-ordered they could make it

 

we tried for weeks, i had a list of 60 people asking for them, problem was it wasnt 60 people for one model/year, it was 60 people for about 4 different models/years . . which is why rock didnt do it. The molds cost too much if there arent enough people intersted.

 

hmm...well I guess I never realized the cutout for the exhaust was that different among the different models...I mean obviously between es and oz, but oh well...*off topic* we have the same color car walking LoL

 

Tell you what Cyrax. You make two out of aluminum and ill buy the other one off of ya. Or better yet there is a group of guys on here who are planning on making a bunch of parts. Perhaps we can convince them to make em for us.

my greddy evo 2 exhuast hits my bumper but it hasnt melted so i dont know what to tell ya on this sorry
