Just to update this DIY... by removing the headlights you get instant access to the reflectors. As mentioned, you can get around the reservoir with nimble hands or a socket. IMO removing the headlights is much more effective than the splash guards.

Man this thread was a lot of help. Just got some clear reflectors and installed them earlier... took me about an hour and a half though... cause I'm not exactly the fastest worker out there...
