I'd do the plugs before the wire.

I had that very same problem. Turned out 1 plugg wasn't gapped properly.

Wires should get swapped anyway, for all I know there are 130k on them. Bought the car at 34k, I doubt they were changed. AFAIK they've never been changed, at least not by me.

Front Oxygen Sensor. If it has not been changed in a long while, it could be it.

Yeah I should change that too, those things are so damn expensive.

Cost as much as my wideband on my rx-7. LOL

I'd like an OEM one, its like $150 =((((

Have you checked to see if your plugs/wires/coil packs yet? If they aren't burnt, then it is probably something else. I experienced something very similar and my car would stutter between 2k-3k rpms and 4k-5k rpms so flooring it wasn't really an option or i would CEL. I have the NGK spark plug wires in now(really like them) and 1 coilpack for now. The other isn't burnt (and hopefully not anytime soon either) but i got my stuff from www.prostreetonline.com. Fast shipping. NGK's for 24.48 or the stock ones for 24.71. Just saying, if they aren't burnt, maybe the problem lies somewhere else. Hate for you to spend money on parts you don't need to fix the problem, you know what i mean? Keep us updated

All fixed =)

I replaced the plugs and wires... and it's all good.

Had a reading done on the CEL, seems the #2 cylinder was misfiring, when I pulled the plug, it had a nice burn ring around the ceramic portion of the plug... all the others looked ok, but #2 was toast.

Also did a recharge of the A/C so it's blowing nice and cold.

w00t

Thanks for the help!

haha well it's COME BACK!! OH NOES!

I think the coil pack has had it.. cause I am getting the misfire on #2 again...

I am going to replace the coil packs since it seems to be burning the crap out of my plugs.

No...
I am going to replace the coil packs with new ones, swap the plugs with some nice quality plugs, change the timing belt too.

If this does not work I am going to go to the junk yard and snag another engine to swap it in....
