engine coolant

i was checking my fluids under the hood today as i usually do every week. i noticed that since i have had the car, 3 months, the coolant in the reservior tank has dropped by about a quarter. Is this normal?

This is not normal, but if you checked it when the car is warmed up it would show that it is fuller than it would if the car is cold.

I have had mine 2 months and I have topped up on Coolant once. I hope its not a big deal.

What kind of coolant is recommended?

I've had my car for about 1-1/2 months and the coolant level is already on or, if not, a little under the low level.

i also checked mine, it was a quarter off the max level. i had my car for only a month. hope its not an issue.
