A/C not working

So my 02 lancer A/C is not working. Just got it recharged and still no joy. Here's what's going on. It works sometimes. Very intermittent. We unplugged the hi pressure switch and stuck a paper clip in it to complete the circuit thinking that may be the case but the compressor still stops for some reason. Someone was thinking it was the evaporator coil on the inside of the car behind the firewall. Anyone have any ideas... I'm at a loss. The fan is working fine. The compressor is working but shutting off for some reason. Any ideas would be great. Thanks everyone.
Ryan

maybe...

Anyone think it could be the actual HVAC controller on the dash itself casuing it to go on and off?

Not to offend you but did you properly recharge the system? Or just buy the kit from Pepboys and plug it in? What you are describing is exactly what happens if the system is undercharged.

No offense taken. Yes, I had it done by my local mechanic. He drained and refilled to speck with a UV dye to check for leaks. No leaks and all filled up...

Same thing happened to me, It would work basically when it felt like working...
We checked everything electrical, there was no leakage, sometimes the clutch would kick in, sometimes it didn't...

It was the magnet in the compressor, easiest thing is to replace the compressor. bought one on ebay for $50 plus shipping...
