I have a 2002 Lancer ES 2.0 and I'm trying to figure out whether or not it has an inner tie rod end or a rack and pinion. One shop is telling me it does, but another can't locate the part anywhere. Can anyone help me out here? If so, is installation easy?

 

it is a rack and pinnion. tie rod has 2 parts...inner and outer...working on replacing the inner now but the driver side one is being very difficult to work with...very limited room
