Hi again Mitsuers,

I've been hearing this annoying rattle coming from the back in the car while driving without music turned on or whenever i shut a door. I've managed to localize it today, it's coming from the left SRS compartment near the left backseat. I can easily reproduce it by slightly tapping on that airbag location, a very annoying sharp rattle noise. This isn't the case on the right side.

My question....anyone else has the same problem? Any idea how to fix it? does removing the SRS cap to check what's going on under it put a risk of making the airbag explode?

im not sure, but be careful. Take it to the dealer to be safe. Messin with the airbag can be dangerous.

 

^+10 dealership may not like to warranty it if you go taking it off.

 

I hear an annoying rattling coming from the back as well, but havent really been able to pinpoint it. Where exactly is your sound coming from? One of the pillar covers?

 

yes above the pillar cover where it's written srs...ive took it to the dealership today, they opened the cover and they tighten the screws and bolt and whatnot...iseems to solve the problem as i am not hearing the rattle anymore

 

whoever hears this should try pulling on the handle..makes it stop for a bit then starts rattling again...at least I know where it is now

 

when you say rattling, is it a constant rattling sound or just clicks?

i keep on hearing clicks for about 5~10 minutes after i started driving.

 

i have this rattle as well in my car, seem to come romt he passenger rear srs area
also have 2 different door rattles in my driver side door!
