Glare

The glare off of the metal by the shifter, and off of the Rockford Fosgate logo by the radio display is ridiculously huge, and makes it really hard to drive sometimes. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is bothered by this, so, other than tinting the windows (which is way too expensive for me to do anytime soon), does anyone have suggestions for how I can reduce or eliminate the glare inside my car?

You could paint the offending parts.

Yeah, I could. It depends on how that would make it look though, and if the paint would hold on the metal pieces.

I noticed this too! It is incredibly bright and annoying. I just keep my hand on the shift knob when it's bad to block most of it(and I'm sure looks badass on an auto...unless in sport mode)

It's not the knob, it's the metal around it, that encases the whole shifter and gear selection.

Give it a light sanding with some high grit? Or paint, or vinyl..

I don't think there's a neat trick to it really - just gotta knock some of the shine out of it. Or cover it up.
