Weird noises
I was driving from Cincinnati to Columbus yesterday, and was doing about 85 mph, and had no problems. But every time I hit about 90 mph, a weird sort of beeping noise came from somewhere in the front of the car. I think it was some sort of alert/warning, perhaps dealing with fuel, even though I had about a third of a tank left. I stopped to fill up, and when I got to 90+ after I filled up, there was no beeping. Has anyone else experience this, or anything similar?

Do you have the Nav system?
If you do, and you watch it, when you hit 88 or so it will ding and tell you that the map is going to zoom out (because you're going too fast!).

No, I have the regular radio. It did sound like it was coming from the radio area though, but I couldn't pinpoint it with the radio off, because I was going too fast to pay attention to anything but traffic.

I was thinking that too, but that was the first time I have ever heard it, and I've had it at or above 90 before that. And I don't see why it would stop after I filled up the tank, unless it was some warning because fuel was too low for speeds like that..? I don't know how that works, but it seems to be the only thing that makes sense right now.

Yeah I was just joking....I haven't looked into it for this particular vehicle. Although typically that wire simply comunicates the speed from the Speedo to the ECU so that the ECU can govern the vehicles speed with fuel cut. The speedo typically gets it info directly from the speed sensor in the tranny. I am not sure if any other features are affected by the vehicles speed in this car that would make it unsafe to cut that wire, but you could always try it and if the whole world ended when you did it you could just solder it back together.
