Greddy Counterweight shift knob not installing

Well, I bought my greddy cw shift knob off of a fellow evom member, Recived it... Tried to put it on, and It just didn't fit.

Its like the threads are WAYY too small for the shift knob.

So i dont really know what is happeneing.

Any helpp?

I could possibly get a pic of my shifter handle... just the base metal part, It seems to be like jagged at the top. Possibly the previous owner cut it? Were there 2 sections to the knob?

Any help would be great, thanks.

Well, there are different types of threads for different cars. Is it new, used? or what had it been used on? Did they say it'd work for your lancer?

Yeah, he said it fit right on his 03 evo...

It seems like brand new. But it was purchased "used" from him

The threads on the Lancer and the threads on the Evo are them same. In fact, the whole shifter's the same (the 5 speed anyway). I bought my Greddy CW shift knob from an Evo guy and it fits perfect. There's not two section to the knob, it's just one piece.
