wtf help please low idle jerky accel
no no no.......if you searched the site you would find your answer. first make sure everything is in correctly. make sure the MAS is connected. you also need to disconnect the battery for a good 15 min to reset the ecu. then you should be fine.
Were you gentle when separating the MAS from the stock airbox when installing your intake? The MAS is somewhat delicate. As a quick test, after the car is warmed up, try the following.
Shut the car off, unplug the wire from the MAS, then start the car. The ECU should now be in 'limp mode' since it is not receiving a voltage signal from the MAS for adjusting the closed loop A/F ratio. Take the car for a short spin (no more than a mile or so) around the block to see if you're still getting the jerky throttle response. It's going to most likely smell bad since the limp mode sets a rich A/F mixture. If the car actually runs better or accelerates smoother with the MAS unplugged then somehow you've damaged the sensor itself.
If it runs the same, were any vacuum hoses or anything else disturbed when you installed the intake?
EDIT: You can try the reset ECU trick first, if you do that and you're still having problems give a shot at what I've posted.

i agree with Z and diesel, id start out with the battery discon and then recon and let it idle for 15-20mins to see if it adapts itself, if that doesnt work go with diesels... otherwise put all factory stuff back in car and try that, if still messy with stock stuff, take it to dealer and hope they don't know you took it all apart!

Some interesting reading about resetting ecu's and the affect on long and short term fuel trims... I know it's a bit old, but I think the general theory and most of the terminology is correct since it's Mitsu based.

You will also want to make sure nothing is in the pipe in the MAS area. The smallest thing can deviate the air and give a bad reading to the ECU causing that. Happened on my previous car
i just made it into a short ram.... so that pipe isnt there nemore....and the exhaust like goes then pauses....goes then pausres...its not the same was it was i know that..
i dont think it is shifting ne more eithner hahah
i redlined it in an auto while accelerating....that has never happened before, i just got up to like 35....and it got up to like 7500 rpm. **** **** ****

My suggestion is this.
1. Take everything appart, I know it's a pain but...
2. Use this tread to help you through the install

Quick question though... You're driving stick or Automatic?
