Question SERVICE ENGINE SOON light?????


HAS ANY BOBY GOTTEN THE (SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT) GO ON??
I JUST DID AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHY!!!
IT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS SLOWING DOWN AT A STOPLIGHT.
EVERY THING WORKS FINE, IT JUST CAME OUT NOWHERE.
I WAS THINKING IT COULD HAVE BEEN MY INTEK BUT I INSTALLED A LONG TIME AGO SO I DONT THINK IS THAT.
PLASE HELP!!!!

Go to Autozone or somewhere similar and get them to pull the code for SES light.

Also, have you removed the first catalytic convertor (aftermarket header)?

check ur O2(oxygen) sensor. You have one on the exhaust manifold, and one right before the second cat under the car. That's all I can think of

NOT MY ONLY MOD IS THE INTAKE
BUT I JUST FOUND OUT THAT THERE IS SOME PROCEDURES TO INSTALL AN INTAKE

i dunno.... But the o2 sensor is mostly what'll make that light come on. Sry man, wish I could be more helpful

I WAS JUST CHEKING ON THE SITE AND I FOUD OUT THAT I WAS SUPOSED LET MY CAR IDLE MY CAR FOR 15 MINUTES AFTER INTEK INSTALLATION

YOU THINK IT COULD BE THAT???

You might want to try to reset the ecu by unplugging the battery and plugging it back in after 15mins

yup. if you didnt let it idle and you just drove it, your ecu is no where near used to the new intake flow, therefore it puts on a signal that something is wrong(as something new and foreign is in the car)

THE BUTTON THAT MAKES EVERYTHING YOU'RE TYPING LOOK LIKE THIS. IT SHOULD BE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF YOUR KEYBOARD, UNDERNEATH THE "TAB" BUTTON.
