I was reading a post about earthing/grounding kit for the lancer..so i went out today and got one and replaced all the grounds in the engine bay. It claims to make your car run smoother and have a smooth idle..also it claims to make the engine pull harder harder at high RPM's...but thats besides the point. I disconnected the negative terminal on my battery to replace the wires and when i started the car, it self-revved up to 3,500 rpm the went down to 1000 immediately (engine was sorta cold). it ran normally afterwards....a few hours later, i went to start it and this time, it started and didn't rev beyond 1000. At certain times (maybe like 5 seconds apart) it would drop down to 500 then 700, then 400, then 500..and so on...it would not idle smoothly...i drove the car and everytime i disengaged the clutch, the rpm would immediately drop to 500 rpms...the engine would gurgle and vibrate vigorously when i am stopped..then it would hesitate when i engage the clutch to move...i parked the car for about 1 1/2 hours then the darn thing wouldn;'t even start...when it finally did, it couldn't stay on...it stalled like 4 times as i backed out of the parking stall...what is wrong??? sorry for the long message but i was hoping someone could help me out...thanks

if this thread is still running....sorry i didn't respond, i can't seem to get back to it later on...anywho, i completed the grounding point...i added another two grounds..
the stock ground are from the battery (-) to the chassis and one to the tranny. the other side of the engine has a remote ground. the ungraded one has the remote ground linked to the engine, then to a threaded screw on the passenger side shock tower, from there, it links all the way over the engine to the (-) terminal. then the battery has one running to the chassis then one to the tranny. all together, you will need about 8 feet of 4 awg wire and 8 gold crimp terminals. i did notice a lil harder pull at high RPMs and the engine idles smoothly. i hope this helps everyone, i am making this kit for about $40 shipped. any interested PM me.
