Question Eclipse HU and Ipod adaptor help...

Hey So I have an Eclipse cd3000 HU and I just got the IPC-106 (ipod adapter). anyways, I was wondering if anyone had any pictures or help on how to install this? Really the only thing I am not sure about is how I am supposed to connect it to the battery. the manual on this thing is horrible! and I know pretty much nothing about cars/ stereo hook ups (I had my deck installed by a store and I really don't feel like paying 50 bucks for them to install something that will probably take all of about 10 min to do.) thanks guys!

I used to sell car audio and whatnot, and did quite a few installs as well. The Ipod adapter is rather easy to do... Just plug it in to the back of the unit with the supplied cable. Then the black wire goes to ground and the yellow one goes to an accessory wire. I always used the radio harness as it was quick and easy to get to since you have to pull the radio out anyway. Black is ground, red is accessory (on the radio harness).

Also, this is completely up to you, but typically we would run the ipod cable to the glove box. However, in the one Lancer we did, the guy wanted it in the little cubby hole under the HVAC controls, so we cut a hole in it and ran it in there.

If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me.
