Question Mitsubishi Factory Ipod Kit

Just wondering if anyone else knows any thing about this. I was on the Canadian Mitsu site yesterday and noticed that under accessories for the 06 Lancer was listed a Ipod adapter for $285 and a Ipod harness for $57. I was just interested to know if anyone had this already and how it sounded. This might finally be the answer to all of our wishes for a decent Ipod conection for our factory HU's. Although it is a bit on the expensive side, I would be willing to dish out that money if it actually was decent. Without my 6-disc changer, I am finding that I just don't have enough tunes in the car and I hate having to constanly change discs.

Yeah you can , but putting in a custom HU just makes your car more atractive to theives . I live in the "car theft capital" of Canada and the last thing I want is another reason for them to break in to my car . I have never put in a custom system in my cars, I just get the premium sound system from factory and everybody leaves my car alone .

yea i know what you mean. im not in a high theft area, but i park in a highschool parking lot almost everyday thatt has no security whatsoever. soo i just got the darkest legal tint to detract wandering eyes as much as possible.

i also installed my stereo myself....and i made some...modifications...that would make it VERY hard to steal.

good luck on your search for that thing though!

Winnipeg? You wouldn't want to live out here....your stock system would be gone in no time.

I am sure there are alternatives that are WAY below 285$. Doesn't seem like it is worth it to me

yeah all stereo stuff in evo and lancer are the same. Iand also itrip or any radio thing for it sucks. I have one and hardly ever get rid of static unless I'm touching the itrip myself. Kinda weird.
