http://www.mitsubishiparts.net/catalog/?section=541

And the install PDF:
http://www.mitsubishiparts.net/catal...er-install.pdf

I wanted one of these for a while but 158$ and staying with the stock HU, should be able to get a new HU that already has the interface for an IPOD stock thats better then the stock HU, no?

Discuss!

Sorry for , but I have that in my lancer right now. If you have a mp3 player (even non-ipods), it is simply amazing. It uses the factory headunit if you want and works great. If you shop around, you can find them for about $30. Just thought I'd throw in my .02

twan real easy... takes about 20 minutes... you just hook it to a 12v power source, ground, then plug your antenna into the "box" and the box into your radio....

well i just bit the bullet for the oem ipod adapter in my evo because i wanted it all stock...

first off this thing sucks...it wont let you play any artist in order..basically when you hit the next cd it will randomly play whatever it decides too (and no the the random buttom isnt hit)

i took it back to south coast mitsu and even they didnt know how to work the thing properly...so basically i got screwed outa a TON of money for a crappy cable that plays random music and i cant do a darn thing about it...

they better refund my money like they said if it wont play the songs right....

im getting the alpine headunit...220$ installed including the ipod cable (which is only 20$ and looks just like the oem one for $200 +) and it will allow you to search by song or artist directly on the headunit

Why don't you just get a head unit with an aux input? Then just get the red and white rca cable for like 6 bucks from radio shack. Then you get cd quality from your ipod with no radio interference

DId you get it fixed?
Can you control it properly by using the actual IPOD and not using the head unit to select tracks? Please let me know cause i was about to order.

Any resolution on this? I don't want to have problems like he reported.. I thought you were supposed to just navigate on the ipod itself so I don't get it...

I really like the idea of keeping the factory stereo tho, less risk of getting my car broken into.

As far as the theives concern.. I bought the radio relocation kit, and since i have an empty spot up top i just have the stock radio up there and the aftermarket one on the bottom. The oem radio isn't hooked up to anything so i'm not concerned about it, but with my tints, and the radio face removed you can barely see a radio down there, plus if a theif looks in he'll see the oem one, and will keep going before looking further... deception is your friend...
