Reconnecting the o2 Sensor
OK, I've put this off till now but I really need to put my o2 sensor back on. It's the one under the car (second). I have a universal sensor and no diagram so it's pretty much just guessing. So my question is, is there any harm that can be done by connecting the wrong wires? Like a short or something? The stock sensor has 2 black wires, a white, and a blue wire. The new one has 2 white wires, a gray, and a black wire. So I'm assuming the 2 blacks and whites go together, but then the other 2 I'm clueless on. I figure since there's only 16 total posible ways to connect them, I can just try them all till the CEL goes away. What does everyone else think?
Well, from what I read a gather you received no instruction with the sensor. Your assumption of the 2 wires going to the 2 wires is correct. But as far as the others, it'd be a guessing game really.

Yeah I bought the sensor from someone here. So it's just a sensor with 4 wires coming out. My main question is can I mess anything up by connecting the wires to see if they're right, then if they're wrong, just try a differednt combo?

OK looked at that link. Thanks for it. Assuming my thinking is correct, since the only OE sensor listed with a blue wire is a type D, Then it goes blue to black, 2 blacks to 2 whites, and white to gray. I'm having my bung put in sometime soon, then I'll wire it up and see if I'm right. Thanks again for the help.
