Help!!Clock Spring

While changing my steering wheel, after finally loosening the steering wheel i couldn't unplug the connectors so i decided to take off the steering wheel and then disconnect everything, without realizing i pulled too hard and off came the steering wheel while having the clock spring just come out, how necessary is this, i just bought one off of ebay for cheap, but im driving with the wire from inside hanging out making nasty noises when i turn, can i take it off completely for now or what?

eh, clock spring usually sends power to your airbags and horn(and steering wheel controls if equipped,).

if u wanna go without that, sure. lol
