Interior Lights Dim

Hello all, I just noticed that when I turn my headlights on that all the lights on the interior such as the CD Player dim and make it hard to read. I was wondering if any one else has experienced this?

Thanks.

is your cd deck stock or aftermarket? don't know if it's the case w/the '08s (I don't see why not), but there should be a dial that you can move up or down to brighten or dim the gauge cluster.

Yeah man, that's just what happens. I think it appears to dim because they expect your lights to be on when it's dark, so you don't need as much brightness to notice them as opposed to daytime when sunlight might outshine the backlighting and kinda wash it out? I dunno. There is a button on the guage cluster that you push in and can control the brightness of the backlighting with if you need to make it brighter.

the car was designed that way. when it is sunny, you dont need the headlights to be on. Also when its sunny, they make the interior lights brighter so you can see the words on ur cd player n stuff easier. When you turn on your lights at night, they dim the lights and turn on all the interior lights.. like those lights under the AC and stuff..

there's a knob on the right side of the instrument cluster that controls the brightness of your instruments......

my bad, it's not a "knob". It's a button.

Also, if you have the Navi package in your car you can set it to ALWAYS use "Day" brightness by clicking "Set" > "Day Time".

What about with just the CD/MP3 Player (the one with the 6 speaker system)?

If you don't have the nav, you just gotta use that button on the gauge cluster. Push it in to adjust.
