Lights dimming!! Any fixes?

I already added a cap to my sound system but all the lights in my car still dims when the sub hits. Is there anyway to keep this from happening?

Hyper-Grounding kit...

It wont get rid of it completely but it will decrease the dimming effect by like 80%

You don't really need the whole "hyper grounding kit"... just a couple of wires.

1. From the engine block to the frame.
2. From the battery - post to the frame.

That'll help more than you'll ever believe it could. Use 4 ga or larger for the best results, and don't remove any factory grounds. (can't have too much)

You need a capcitor and that will stop the dimming. A capacitor stores power and re-distributes it to your amp when it needs it.

I was having the same problems, i have a 1200w amp and my lights were dimming a lot. I couldn't afford a cap at the time, so i took the optima yellow top battery from my old car and put it in the lancer, bye bye light dimming altogether.

Get a better alternator. You need a HO Alternator.

dont NEED better alt by it self amps NEED more power than most alt can produce(100 ampsX14volts=1400watts,BUT amps are not 100% efective they run bout 40-50% for class a/b and 70-90 for class D)so a 700 watt(class a/b) amp needs bout 100 amps of power @14 volts to do that or class d need less, but its still alot
