Hey guys, just picked up a lancer not too long ago and I have a question. When I start the car and when I press the gas, the car kind of sounds like a go kart/lawnmower motor (it's hard to describe it). The car runs and drives fine but the noise annoys me. I'm not sure why but I was thinking possibly an exhaust leak or crack in the header? Anyone ever had similar problems or know what it is?

yeah, sounds like an exhaust leak. try to sort it out asap because exhaust leaks are no fun if you ignore them... talking from experience here... ugh

i got the same noise am gonna see if i could record the noise to see if its smiliar to yours...

 

I get that whenever a bolt is loose in my exhaust, just check all the bolts and see if wherever the exhausts connect there is any space. May need new gaskets too.
