Oz Feels Bogged
Hey guys Just a question. I installed a AME CAI 3 months ago and it is great love the sound. But Today I noticed my car feel bogged down when I try to take off from the line or drop it down to 3rd. Any Suggestions? Bad Gas?
I have bad gas. Turns out 25 hot wings will do that.
Try different gas and an oil change (and check your air filter to make sure it is clean, you may need to get an re-charge kit for it to clean it).

My OZ was feeling like that. It would bog down at take off and felt like I just lost 20hp somewhere ?!?!?! Well, turns out, my throttle cable was just kinda drooping there. Tightened it up and BOOM !!! New car again and faster than ever. I remember seeing it droop a little and never tightened it so since I got the car, it was NEVER at WOT. It just recently loosened and felt like ***. It's kinda cool. A free mod made my car better than even the day it was bought !
BTW, since I got my JET ecu chip, I have NEVER put cheap gas in my OZ. 93 octane EVERY DAY !!

also 91 octane can make your car run like poop. it is made for 87 so run 87. I run 89 from time to time and get good results but everytime i run 91 it blows donkey ****.
How many miles you got on there? Could be spark plugs too.

DRC Imports - How do I go about tightning my throttle cable I am a noob with engin mods my CAI was the first I ever done.
And The car has 18000 miles so I think the spark plugs should be good.

Well, if you look at your throttle body, there is a cable leading to it that, when you press the gas pedal, the cable pulls open the throttle body. Look at the cable and follow it from right to left until it isn't cable any more rather a sleave of some other material (don't know off the top of my head ?) As you get to that, look up at the piece of metal holding the throttle cable (2 bolts) just loosen the bolts and slide it to the left until there is just a little bit of slack in the cable. Vioalla !
cold air intakes arent designed for take off. The pipe is longer so in return it takes the air longer to get to your intake from a dead start. If you use high octane on a stock ECU your engine will run really rich hense more bogging. when you down shift try NOT to completely let off the gas and you will notice better response. but be careful if you give it too much gas you can burn up the clutch.

and I normally never miss just been really broke
