Almost crashed, SES light?
Almost crashed, SES light?
so along with the many other problems ive had and still have with my lancer, i am stumped with this new one. im driving on my least favorite highway in NJ and sum idiot like 5 cars ahead of me slams their brakes and starts a domino effect of screaming tires and brakes. the front of my car wud have been crushed if i hadnt ripped my ebrake as well as my regular brakes. i came to a very violent stop and felt sumthing under my hood jump
. now after the traffic starting going again i noticed my car was accelerating horribly and then my SES light turned on. i got to my girlfriends house turned it off and then turned it back on and the SES was still on
i checked under the hood and nothing looked wrong the MAF sensor on my intake was still on. has this happened to anyone? im gonna take it to the dealership tomorrow and hope its nothing serious but if anyone has any suggestions id greatly appreciate it

I've braked hard in a similar situation as yours (NJ Parkway). I was able to stop and the car was fine. Take it to the dealer, the car is not supposed to break under hard braking, it's engineered to do that without problems.
but anyway, the dealer should clear things up. use that
warranty
yeh my ordeal was actually on route 46
and i didnt have to time to go to the dealer today but will eventually. it feels like the car is drained of like 40% torque
